Martha Hervieux, the Mayor of Kingsbury, was in a rush of last-minute preparations when reached by The Record on Thursday.
“Things are looking very good,” Hervieux said, making no effort to hold back her excitement about the celebration coming up this Saturday, July 9, for the 125th anniversary of the small Eastern Townships community.
The mayor shared that 2022 actually marks the 126th anniversary of the community but the celebration planned for last year, like so many other things, had to be cancelled to respect COVID-19 restrictions.
