Knowlton resident pushes back to clean up neighbourhood

Sandra Reed moved to Knowlton 11 years ago expecting to enjoy a peaceful retirement, however, it quickly turned into a never-ending dispute with her neighbours, the town of Brome Lake, and property owner Michael Murray.
Reed, a 71-year-old former real estate agent from Markham, Ontario, told The Record that everything was fine when she first arrived in the small town. But it all went downhill, and has since spiralled out of control, when her neighbours, a family of four, moved out.
In the beginning, it was a quiet family with two kids, according to Reed. “The kids used to come over here and see me, and it was lovely. I didn’t know how much trouble was ahead of me,” said Reed. The family lived in the modest house beside her for four years.
