Kruger Products officially inaugurated its tissue factory in Sherbrooke’s Brompton borough on Monday, marking the end of work started in the spring of 2019. The factory has been up and running since it was completed early last year, but Monday’s ceremony was the first chance company officials had to gather together as a result of pandemic restrictions.
“This factory has been in operation for close to a year and a half now,” said Patrice Bègin, General Manager of the Brompton plant, acknowledging that the event was more symbolic than anything else. “but it is important to officially recognize the beginning of operations for a project of this scope.”
