This coming weekend will mark the sixth edition of La Grande Marche in municipalities across Quebec, including four here in the Eastern Townships. In Sherbrooke, Richmond, Val-des-Sources, and Valcourt, people are being invited to lace up their shoes and go for a walk as a part of the provincewide campaign to encourage healthy living and physical activity.
“We just want people to start building the habit of moving a little bit each day,” said Dr Anne-Genevieve Gauthier, a family doctor and the chair of the organizing committee for Sherbrooke’s Grande Marche event.
