The 14th edition of La Marche/La Course in support of the La Fondation Au Diapason was another success.
The Walk/run event for the benefit of the Au Diapason Foundation reached its financial goal on May 7 as more than $250,000 was raised by the 400 participants in the event.
“We are deeply moved by the community’s participation and financial support we received during the 14th edition of La Marche. I am grateful for the presence of many familiar faces who have been with us since the beginning, as well as new participants. Walking together to the beat of Diapason is certainly a meaningful and deeply unified gesture,” said Charlotte Evans, executive director of Diapason in a press release.
The money raised will allow the Maison Au Diapason to pursue its mission of offering free specialized palliative care and psychological support to people at the end of their lives and their families.
As of 8 a.m., participants were invited to Bromont’s Public Square, where they were welcomed by a team of volunteers, fresh coffee from Café 1792, a makeup and tattoo booth and a mascot.
Due to the major work currently underway on the V1 trail leading to the Maison Au Diapason, participants could not stop there, unlike in previous years. However, Au Diapason was present throughout the trails
