By Emilie Hackett, Special to the Record – L’Association des accidentés Cérébro-vasculaires et Traumatisés crâniens de l’Estrie (ACTE) will be holding an Open House from Tuesday, October 23rd, to Friday, October 26th. L’ACTE is an association that offers psychosocial counselling, dynamic activities, and support groups to those affected by traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and cerebrovascular accidents (CVA). Founded in 1984, l’ACTE is hosting the Open House to encourage survivors to join the association and to show its pre-existing members their new headquarters. Previously located on Boulevard Jacques-Cartier Nord in a CIUSSS-owned venue, l’ACTE moved to 759, rue Woodward, near the CHUS Hôtel-Dieu in the spring.
