By Matthew McCully – On Thursday evening the Lampe Foundation, the Charitable Foundation of CFUW Sherbrooke & District, held its annual spring awards ceremony at The Hut in Lennoxville. The event followed the CFUW’s Annual General Meeting. This spring, 14 students were awarded scholarships to support them in their studies. A total of $23,000 was distributed among the students, who have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to serve their communities. Janet Angrave has been a member of the CFUW Sherbrooke and District for 49 of the local branches 51 years. She was honoured with the Sage Award during last Thursday’s Annual General Meeting.
