The Municipality of Potton First Responders and Formation SAVIE Inc. are offering a free training session in the lifesaving technique of CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) on Saturday, February 29 as part of the Festive Hearts Month celebration in Potton. There is no better way to show your love to your family, friends and neighbours than learning this potentially lifesaving technique! In addition to CPR training, Mr. Francois Aumais TAP, CPR-AED instructor certified with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec will also join Potton’s First Responders to show how to use a defibrillator, offering instruction on how to intervene during a resuscitation situation. “This very interactive, dynamic and informative workshop is one of the most popular sessions offered during Potton’s Festive Hearts Month,” shares Trish Wood, Potton’s Community Organizer. “The sessions fill up quickly, so we encourage people to sign up fast.” English instruction session will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the French instruction session from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Town Hall in Mansonville. Due to the popularity of this event, registration is mandatory by calling 450-292-3313 extension 228. The sessions are free and this in itself is a gift to citizens and the community.
