Lennoxville and District Women’s Centre hosts annual International Women’s Day Event

To celebrate International Women’s Day this year we have invited guest speaker Dr. Stine Linden-Anderson who will lead a workshop that will explore strategies to promote female engagement and leadership. Dr Linden-Andersen, who now serves as Vice Principal Student Affairs at Bishop’s University, has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University, and joined Bishop’s as sessional lecturer in the Psychology Department in 2013.

In this workshop, participants will engage in activities around confident communication as a woman and creating space for other women to succeed. Whether you are early in your journey of feminism or looking for an opportunity to refine your fight for the cause, this workshop will be interactive and inclusive. There will also be live music, games, and food! Join us to celebrate this empowering day on Thursday, March 9 at 6 p.m. at the Amédée Beaudoin Community Hall, 10 Samuel-Gratham, Sherbrooke.

You are also welcome to join us on Thursday March 16th at 6 p.m. when we will be creating our own International Women’s Day tote bags using silk printing! Learn how to use this fascinating technique and take home your very own IWD bag to show your pride year-round!
For either event, please register by email at programs@ldwc.ca or call 819-564-6626. We hope to see you there!
