Lennoxville “Canada Reads” event moving to a new location

The Lennoxville Library is branching out this year, taking its popular Canada Reads preview event out from between the stacks and into the community in the hopes of bringing in more people and encouraging more discussion. “Happily what’s happened is that the attendance has grown and the interest has grown,” said Heather Thomson, Chair of the Library Board of Directors, explaining that this year’s change to the Amédée Beaudoin Community Centre should allow, “more room for the kind of discussion we hope will happen.” Hosted by the CBC, Canada Reads is an annual competition that pits five books against each other in a battle to see which one best represents the year’s theme. In 2019 the theme is “one book to move you.” See full story in the Friday, March 15 edition of The Record.
