Lennoxville chooses From the Ashes

The crowd at the Lennoxville Library’s “Canada Reads . . . and so does Lennoxville” foreshadow event for 2020 selected Jesse Thistle’s From the Ashes, as defended by Charity Kerrigan, as the best choice for this year’s theme of “One book to bring Canada into focus.” A memoir exploring Indigenous homelessness, addiction and inter-generational trauma, From the Ashes was presented by Kerrigan through the lens of her experiences as an early childhood educator.
