Lennoxville’s annual giant pumpkin and harvest festival took place under cool but sunny skies on Sunday afternoon, drawing large crowds to the local fire hall for the region’s only celebration dedicated to the growing and weighing of giant gourds. Yvon Guay and Louise Mantha took home the top prize with a monstrous pumpkin weighing in at 790 pounds. Kiana Morrison of Sawyerville, participating in the contest for only the second year, took second place, outshining seasoned veterans with a sizable squash weighing 690 pounds.
