In the absence of traditional Remembrance Day ceremonies this year, locals still found ways to pay their respects to fallen soldiers.
Placed near the Bury cenotaphs were several stones decorated with poppies and other scenes of commemoration. These were put there on Nov. 6 by Melanie Blouin’s Grade 3 and 4 students, of Pope Memorial Elementary School, as a sign of respect for the men and women of Bury who served and who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Bury Legion places wreaths
On Saturday Nov. 7 a few members of Legion Branch 48 gathered in front of the Bury Cenotaphs to place wreaths on behalf of several families and organizations that sponsored them. Because of COVID-19, Legion Branch 48 did not organize a public Remembrance Ceremony.
