Fernand Courchesne has given himself yet another gruelling personal endurance challenge this summer, as he attempts to run approximately 925 kilometres in 30 days for the second edition of the Grande course partagée de l’inclusion.
Courchesne started his journey in Tadoussac on June 4. The goal is to reach Sherbrooke by July 3. And he won’t be alone. Courchesne will be pushing several co-runners along the way using a Kartus, an adapted wheelchair for elderly folks and people with physical disabilities.
According to a press release, Courchesne’s challenge will take him through Saguenay, Lac-Saint-Jean, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Chaudière-Appalaches, the Bois-Francs and L’Érable regions, Centre-du-Québec and the Eastern Townships. The run will conclude at Lac des Nations.
