By Matthew McCully – Drew Pollock, General Manager of the Bishop’s lacrosse team and Coach of the Alexander Galt lacrosse team, took on a third mandate as of October, 2017 as Defensive Coach for the Luxembourg National lacrosse team.
Pollock is one of three former Gaiters making up the coaching staff for Team Luxembourg, currently competing at the lacrosse World Cup in Netanya, Israel.
“Lacrosse is very new in Europe,” Pollock said, explaining how he, Khris Scott (Head Coach) and Andrew Barber (Offensive Coach) ended up training Luxembourgers to play Canada’s national sport.
Pollock, originally from Port Coquitlam, B.C. started playing lacrosse at four-years-old, and has been coaching the sport for various teams since he was 15. See full story in the Wednesday, July 11 edition of The Record.
