For some, working from home meant trying their hand at adventurous cooking for the first time. It can also be quite daunting, though, to find “the one” amidst the thousands of recipes at our fingertips – so, turning to a meal-subscription service can seem like a natural stepping stone.
Along with other Canadian meal-services like Goodfood, is Quebec’s original évoilà5, which has grown in popularity over the past few years.
According to co-founder Josée Corbeil, the meal subscription service began in 2013 with a home-base in Saint-Laurent and was the first of its kind in Quebec. Since opening, it expanded across the province in the shape of little boutiques here and there. Each boutique offers the same ever-changing menu of five meals per week for families needing between one and five daily portions.
Sherbrooke saw its first installment in 2018 as a pre-retirement project for co-owners Charlynn Bourgoin and her husband, André Dufour.
