Local ­oppostion MPs share concerns for cabinet meeting

With the Federal cabinet retreat getting started in Sherbrooke today, there have been and continue to be plenty of opportunities to hear from members of the Liberal Party about their vision for the region and the country as a whole. While ministers from near and far tour the Townships and make their announcements, The Record checked in with local opposition MPs Pierre-Luc Dusseault, who represents Sherbrooke for the NDP, and Alain Reyes, the Conservative MP for Richmond-Arthabaska, to see what local priorities they hope Justin Trudeau and his team will be able to speak to during their visit. At the time the record spoke with him, Dusseault shared that he will be actively involved in three local protests that are taking place as a result of the Prime Minister’s visit, although he added that he was on the lookout for others.
