Hatley Township resident Raymonde Bremaud has been doing volunteer work for the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) since 1996. Because walking long distances is a hobby of hers, in 1999, Bremaud decided to organize a 50 km walk as a fundraiser, inviting locals to tag along. She has continued with the tradition ever since.
On May 28, she will set out again on a 50km excursion, her second year doing the walk alone because of pandemic health restrictions.
