Lord opening the door to opera for Mother’s Day

Marie-Josée Lord is tired of people saying they don’t like opera. In an interview with The Record last week, the 48 year-old, Haitian-born soprano said that ever since she fell in love with the art form, people have told her that opera is everything from boring to incomprehensible, and she wants to change that.
