Record Staff – The Lucien-Blanchard Park beach in the Mont-Bellevue borough has had to be closed again, the City of Sherbrooke has announced, due to its having been given a ‘D’ rating after an analysis of the water taken on Wednesday. Since the beginning of the season, the beach has had to close six times after heavy rains.
The beach at the Deauville municipal park, meanwhile, remains open. Elsewhere in the Estrie region, the water sampled at beaches tested received “A” or “B” ratings, either “Excellent” or “Good”. Published in the Friday, July 20 edition of The Record.
