There is a large gap along the North side of Magog’s main street this morning following a major fire that broke out early Tuesday morning. According to city officials the fire started in the building at 12 Deragon Street before spreading to three neighbouring structures. By the time the fire was declared “under control” at noon on Tuesday, three of the four affected buildings were considered total losses. Several buildings near the fire sustained more minor damage such as broken windows or melted siding. See full story in the Wednesday, October 17 edition of The Record.
