Maison Aube Lumiere mourns founding director

Marie-Paule Kirouac, the founding director of Sherbrooke’s Maison Aube Lumiere palliative care home, passed away last Wednesday, January 6, in the very facility she worked to help create.
In a letter sent to The Record over the weekend, current Aube Lumiere Director Christian Gagnon explained that Kirouac, who was involved in the Aube Lumiere project as early as 1995, served as the executive director of the home from the time it first opened a physical space in 1997 until the opening of the current site in 2013.
