Massey Vanier Athletics Department celebrates 4th annual fundraiser

On Saturday Sept. 21, Massey-Vanier High-School kicked off its 4th annual fundraiser for their Athletics Department at the Brome fairgrounds. There was entertainment provided throughout the day with bouncy castles and a petting zoo for children. To make things fun, there was also a dunk tank on site for anyone who was in the mood to cool off on that bright sunny day. The fundraiser, organized by the head of Massey-Vanier’s Athletic Director Nate Forester, also put on an amazing silent auction. People couldn’t get enough of the great items that were put up for auction and many described it as one of the best parts of the event. Attendees didn’t have to worry about having empty stomachs all day with some of our favorite staples, such as poutine and hot dogs, offered by Cantine Brome Fries and a tasty pig roast put together by Peter Kirby for the fundraiser’s big supper. There was also a booth set up on site that was selling Viking’s sportswear to attendees. See full story in the Tuesday, Sept. 24 edition of The Record.
