Mégantic Astrolab hosting popular Astronomy Festival

By Gordon Lambie

The Mont Mégantic Astrolab’s annual Popular Astronomy Festival began this past Friday, kicking off three weekends in a row celebrating the wonders of the heavens. This year’s edition of the festival will focus on the theme, “the infrared universe.”
The festival is the only time of year when the public has access to the research observatory at the top of Mont-Mégantic at night, giving them a rare opportunity to take a peek at the sky through the country’s most active telescope. See full story in the Monday, July 9 edition of The Record.
