The Memphrémagog MRC recently received $126,000 in financial assistance from the Department of Public Safety for the acquisition of equipment and for the training of off-road rescue workers.
The funding comes from the Ministry of Public Safety’s Emergency Assistance Program for Off-Road Emergency Response Assistance, one of whose goals is to increase the protection afforded to citizens in areas not accessible through the road network by improving the preparedness of municipal organizations responsible for emergency response.
