Menopause the musical coming to Centennial Theatre

Menopause the Musical is coming to the Centennial Theatre Stage this Saturday night. The show will mark the first performance in Quebec that takes place off the island of Montreal in the Canadian show’s 14-year history. “It has an amazing following,” said Mark Zimmerman, who co-produces the show with actress Janet Martin. “It’s the longest-running musical comedy, ever to play Las Vegas.” Zimmerman and Martin hold the exclusive Canadian rights to the show and have been touring it across the country for the last four years, following on a successful ten-year run in Toronto. “When it first began we were nowhere near menopause, we were just acting that we were,” said Martin, who has been on stage since day one. “Now we’ve sort of come out the other side.” The actress explained that the show tells the story of four women from very different walks of life who run into each other at Bloomingdales department store in New York City and bond over their shared experiences of being menopausal.
