The Windsor Minor Hockey Association has announced a new partnership agreement that will begin with the upcoming 2023-2024 season.

This partnership will mark the beginning of a new era for Val-Saint-François minor hockey, as the teams will bear the Desjardins – Wild name, reflecting the team that represents the region so well in the Regional Hockey League.

“We’re really happy to be able to count on the support of the Caisse Desjardins du Val-Saint-François and the Wild senior hockey team,” commented AHMW president Yannick Gendreau in a press release. “With these major partners and the support of other great friends of our association, it’s the Desjardins – Wild colours that we’ll be wearing in our region and throughout Quebec.”

In addition to the new partnership, the AHMW counts on the exceptional support of the City of Windsor, hockey Experts, Herwood as well as CGW Team- real estate brokers.

“This is a five-year agreement that will enable us to renew the jerseys of all our teams,” explained Gendreau.

“We’re proud to have worn the Promutuel name and colors, and we’re currently discussing how our partnership with this company will take shape over the next few years,” he added, in a statement about the new name.
