An extensive air and ground search in the area northwest of Sherbrooke came to a tragic end on Saturday afternoon when one of the Royal Canadian Air Force Griffon helicopters involved in the search spotted the wreckage of the missing Cessna 172 aircraft in a wooded area near Racine. According to Sûreté du Québec the pilot of the vehicle, 22-year-old Hind Barch, was dead when the wreckage was located. See full story in the Monday, Sept. 9 edition of The Record.
