On Tuesday, Dec. 6, the CABMN volunteer centre in Mansonville received a visit from Sûreté du Québec Sergeant Jacinthe Labonté, who is the “Godmother” at the SQ for the Potton region.  Labonté stopped by the CABMN to connect with the staff and to establish a link for sharing information in the future.  Jacinthe works alongside long time SQ prevention and education Sergeant in the region, Steeve Côté.  While Côté works in providing community support in schools, youth centres etc…in the area of prevention and education, Jacinthe covers patrolling, surveillance and emergency calls throughout the large territory covered by the SQ.

“I have been a police officer for fourteen years now,” shared Labonté.  “I am from the Drummondville area however I am happy to serve the Municipality of Potton along with my colleagues and to be a connection for community organizations like the CABMN in seeking services and information regarding our police force and questions surrounding the applicable laws.”
