By Emilie Hackett, Special to the Record – It was a busy weekend as the Gaiters travelled far and wide to participate in tournaments and league games. Some came home triumphant, while others returned disappointed. The men’s basketball team headed West to Waterloo, Ontario, for the James Naismith Classic hosted by the Waterloo Warriors. With the RSEQ season beginning in a month, the Gaiters spared no efforts in the pre-season matches. Losing their first game of the tourney 81-77 to the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Thursday, October 11, Bishop’s came back strong on Friday and Saturday, winning 84-79 against hosts Waterloo Warriors and 81-67 against Wilfrid Laurier University.
