Community health and social services organizations in the Estrie region will benefit from a historic increase in funding. Health and Social Services Minister Danielle McCann made the announcement Tuesday. As of 2019-2020, the Estrie region’s community organizations will receive nearly $2.2 million in recurring financial assistance, in addition to the nearly $32.8 million already allocated under the Community Organization Support Program (PSOC). Based on the regional guidelines of the PSOC, the increase will make it possible to respond to the needs identified regionally, by increasing the capacity of organizations to respond to growing demands and specific challenges.
