Tyler Lewis is proud of his community. Named Head of School at Bishop’s College School in 2015, Lewis speaks highly of the qualities and characteristics that make BCS unique, but does not shy away from suggesting that the establishment is more accessible and open than people might tend to think. “People will say to us, you’re this hidden jewel, but we don’t want to be hidden, we want to be a known jewel,” the Head said during an interview with The Record last week, explaining that although BCS, like many private schools, can seem intimidating, the school strives to be a positive community that focuses on the holistic development of the child. “Education is a lot more than just the skills that you get in a traditional classroom,” he continued, “at BCS every kid is known and loved, and appreciated for who they are. There’s a culture of kindness here.” See full story in the Tuesday, April 2 edition of The Record.
