The most exciting thing in my life right now is a new chair.
I’ve reached a new benchmark, kind of like how after 20 years old, you don’t get any guaranteed birthday gifts anymore, and after 30, you don’t need to help your friends move.
I guess by your mid-40s, the best you can hope for is a nice piece of furniture that requires minimal assembly, if any, and fits a space well.
I wonder what the next phase of life will entail.
Will sleeping ever become a thing again?
Ooh, you know what I’m looking forward to?
Being too old to do tech support for appliances and gadgets.
One day I will hit that sweet age when I can get a new phone or computer, and then just hand it off to some younger relative, say “I forgot all my passwords,” and
walk away.
