My Take

My Take
The format of a My Take is 150 words – no more, no less – to express an opinion on a different topic each week. This week’s topic was pride jerseys.

I suppose I should have stronger feelings about the rejection of Pride jerseys by NHLers, but I give zero pucks what hockey players think.

Play your game, score your goals, then sashay away.

I don’t get my recipes from the bank teller, and I don’t want my politics from the ‘jocks without frocks’ camp.

I’ve got more important things to think about, and frankly, so do you.

Get to work on the misogyny and your culture of violence and hazing, and then we’ll move on to homophobia, transphobia, and more importantly, the ripple effect of sharing your asinine opinion publicly when, if we’re being honest here, these days hockey is synonymous with litigation, not church.

Also, I don’t appreciate the virtue signalling on the part of the league as a whole, trying to cash in on all the rainbow goodness.

Eat a bag of Skittles.
