The format of a My Take is 150 words – no more, no less – to express an opinion on a different topic each week. This week’s topic was Father’s Day.
They said I could write whatever I want here so this one just goes out to my dad; I love you man. Through thick and thin you’ve always been a light in the dark and there’s no combination of a million words let alone 150 that can properly express how much you mean to me, but thank you. Not enough people get the privilege to say they have a father who’s funny, smart, kind, hard-working, loyal and so much more all rolled into one; and despite not saying it enough, I hope you know that I don’t take a single second of it for granted. You taught me how to be a good person, and although I don’t always live up to it, I’m not sure I’d be even half the man I am today without you. I love you dad, have a fanfreakingtastic Father’s Day.
