My Take: By Gordon Lambie

The local testing centres have been busy this week, which means a lot of people are waiting right now.
It could be the wait in line to register for a test, or the hours-long wait to have someone stick a swab up your nose. It could be the even longer wait in isolation for the news about whether you’re COVID sick or just regular sick. Maybe it is the wait that follows a confirmation, for the unknown future when you can call yourself recovered.
There is a strong temptation, when you know that what you are waiting for might be bad news, to imagine that you misjudged things or blew them out of proportion. If you’re one of the waiting, remember that you’re not alone and that taking the time to do each step properly is the only way we make it through this mess.
