The format of a My Take is 150 words – no more, no less – to express an opinion on a different topic each week. This week the topic was: putting the cart before the horse.
The other day I heard someone say that, with the rollout of vaccines getting started, every person who doesn’t catch COVID at this point is a person who might never catch it. There are so many different ways of telling people to be patient: Don’t jump the gun or get ahead of yourself; hold your horses but also make sure not to put the cart before them. Good things, they say, come to those who wait, but it’s best not to count your chickens before they’ve hatched.
This may be the beginning of an interesting new chapter, but it’s not the end of the story yet.
