My Take: By Gordon Lambie

Every year at about this time people, and particularly media, engage in a process of looking back on the year that was.
The cynical can recognize this process as one that helps provide content when nearly everyone is on vacation, but I always enjoy the process of looking up what’s been written over the last year.
It can be hard to see the impact of one’s actions in the moment or even the immediate aftermath, but looking back on things from a distance sometimes provides a perspective that can be a valuable teacher about what was a good idea, and what was not.
Last January feels like it could have been years ago, but even though 2020 is a year many would like to forget, I think in some ways it might be the most important one to look back on and remember, moving forward.
