I have no empathy left for people who could get to this point in this year and feel upset about having their plans for a March break vacation complicated by public health guidelines. Last March I got it; things were constantly changing and every new cancellation hurt. At this point, though, it’s baffling that there are people who think now is the right time for international travel.
To be clear, I’m pro- taking a break; anyone and everyone who can, should be taking as much time off as possible right now, but even if the point of that time is to take care of yourself, it should not come at the expense of others’ wellbeing.
It doesn’t feel like anyone should have to be reminded anymore that this situation is one we’re all stuck in together, but apparently some people just haven’t gotten the message.
