Quebec’s vaccine passport is a teaser trailer right now.
It’s like when film companies put out an ad for an upcoming film that is just the name of the movie in stylized letters and the briefest glimpse of what it might be about. Audiences are left to speculate based on what they already know from the novel of the same name, or fill in the blank from their own imaginations.
At the moment, the government of Quebec describes the COVID-19 vaccination passport as something that will be an official document in the future (i.e. it doesn’t exist yet). They offer a couple of ‘probablys’ and ‘maybes’ before stating, that “how it will be used will depend on changes in the epidemiological situation and on vaccine coverage in Québec.”
At the very least, we know that the movie catchphrase of 2020-21 continues to be “we’ll see.”
