My Take: By Gordon Lambie

Think back to the person you were in February, and imagine telling them that by July it will be not just normal, but required that you wear a mask to go to the bank. February you would probably laugh at the idea of “gas gloves” and would be baffled and maybe a bit concerned about how the word “confinement” has become a part of everyday speech.
Who would have thought, four months ago, that summer fashion magazines would be offering tips on how to choose the right face covering for your outfit?
These past few months have been packed with a lot of unexpected and largely unforeseeable events, but measured on the global scale of terrible things; being told that it’s in everyone’s best interest to wear a mask is neither surprising nor disastrous.
Like a new pair of shoes, they just need breaking in.
