Where does the line fall on compassion when we’re talking about businesses? Although I know that every corporation is made up of people, somehow the bigger the business the less inclined I am to have much sympathy.
I have no problem understanding that things are complicated and that there are going to be problems with operations in a variety of businesses and organizations as this pandemic rolls on, but when everyone has been through the same large-scale crisis at the same time, it feels like there’s a limit to the number of times that a large-scale operation can pull off the “it’s because of Covid” line.
There’s an important place in society for breaking down why something isn’t working, but it’s also far easier to talk about problems than it is to come up with solutions, the latter being what we really need right now.
