My Take: By Marianne Lassonde

I’m baffled by the sheer entitlement when it comes to vaccine prioritization.
As soon as health professionals and CHSLD residents were vaccinated, vulnerability became a foreign concept and, now, it’s all about flouncing job titles. The whole thing just doesn’t sit right with me.
I understand people are tired and want life to go back to “normal,” but there is too much ambiguity to be arguing priority. A grocery store clerk could argue they are a priority because they spend hours around large masses of people, some of which are anti-maskers. A single mother could argue her child spends time around other kids and she is at risk. Everyone has a good reason to be next in line. To be perfectly candid, I think teachers and customer service folks should be next, but there is just no point in arguing about it in comment sections.
