Our government has dangled so many carrots during this pandemic it’s no wonder the horse has ended up nowhere near the cart. And even if he found his way back, the poor horse probably gained a good Covid 30 and couldn’t fit his harness anymore.
The cart’s not moving. Do not board the cart.
We have a long way to go before we can drop our defences and celebrate the arrival of a vaccine.
It is coming in small batches, and there is a long list of people who need it before it will be available to the average Joe.
Also, the effectiveness of the vaccine is still up in the air.
I know Christmas keeps spirits high for a lot of people at a dreary time of year and being unable to get together is hard.
But it’s not as hard as a funeral.
