Nothing like a procedure mask and a room full of strangers to help escape the stress of the pandemic.
I’ve been sitting in front of a screen for most of the year. I travel to the far reaches of the galaxy all the time. I don’t need to up the ante by doing it in a high-risk environment and without any of the joys that accompany the movie theatre experience.
It’s like the plastic-covered couch version of fun. Like, you have the impression it could be cozy, but your bare leg is sticking to it. And it’s covered in plastic, so not leaning back and kicking your feet up is kind of implied.
Reminds me of the time my friend offered me carob and said it was just like chocolate.
It’s not.
Going to the movies during a pandemic is not going to the movies.
