My Take: By Matthew McCully

I really admire people who can set up a dedicated workspace in their home and be productive.
I am not one of them.
I had to quarantine a few times during the pandemic, and when working from home I felt there was no beginning, middle or end to the workday.
I’m not disciplined enough to follow a schedule and know when to say when.
Also, dogs are terrible co-workers. Just terrible.
On the flip side, I bet there are millions of people who, over the past year, have realized they can accomplish twice as much without the hustle and bustle of the office distracting them.
So what happens now?
The traditional work model has been flipped upside down, some thought temporarily.
I pity the employers that have to balance the demands of staff on a large scale now that working from home is a possibility.
