I’ll tell you a little secret.
I’ve had a few different career paths in my life, but one I always had an inkling to try was stand-up comedy. And not even for the jokes. For the hecklers.
You know, fake news chanters are really just the hecklers of the media world. Tearing a strip off them is one of the few times I get to combine my love of writing with my vicious wit.
So, I just consider it practice for when I hit the stage and someone from the audience yells something stupid at me.
I don’t spend my workday labouring over every word that ends up in this newspaper to be questioned by trolls who can’t wrap their heads around the difference between your and you’re.
*Drops mic, walks off the stage*
