My Take: By Matthew McCully

The thing about NOBs is you never get to find out what their motivation was to run for office.
Even Rhinoceros Party candidates pick up the phone.
Being completely ghosted is offensive in the beyond.
It also gets my wheels turning.
Could a political party simply be casting a wide net? Or is something else going on?
I’ll bow out over here, you bow out over there…
A lot of dancing happens behind the scenes in the political world.
So what are you supposed to do?
Support the party you believe in and hope, if elected, your local candidate will actually move to town and properly represent the needs of the constituency?
Or trust the people working hard on the ground around you, regardless of actions or policies implemented at the federal level that conflict with your beliefs?
As if just voting weren’t stressful enough.
