Everything is cancelled this summer-except cancel culture. It’s still trucking on, stronger than ever.
I can’t put my finger on what it is that makes people want to watch, and in some cases participate, in a gruesome fall from grace.
Oh wait, yes I can. It’s my phone.
I put my finger on it all the time. I click stuff, read stuff, pass judgement and then move on, as do millions of other people, glued to devices a safe degree of separation from reality.
And as we know, after the fall, all the king’s horses and all the king’s men can’t put careers back together again.
I have zero sympathy for millionaires forced into early retirement.
But keep in mind, there are people online who still think the earth is flat. With torches. And pitchforks. So take what you see with a grain of salt.
