My Take: By Michael Boriero

We are told from a young age that every vote counts and you need to do your civic duty on election day and fill out a ballot, but for the first time in my life I felt like my vote didn’t matter.
As you can probably tell, I didn’t vote for the CAQ. And it didn’t actually change anything. I wasn’t even excited to vote knowing the CAQ were basically tabbed to win for months now.
It felt kind of useless. And trust me, I’m always the person telling my friends and family to remember to go out and vote. But there was no race this year. It was completely predictable.
And that’s fine. But when the other major parties combined rake in the majority of the popular vote and come out with only a handful of seats, something is horribly wrong with the system.
